The rich heritage of Zwicker Farms dates back to 1927 when Michael Zwicker bought 160 acres of farm ground in Rural Township of Rock Island County, Illinois. What a wise investment that soon proved to be! Just two short years later, the Great Depression began and many banks closed. If Michael had placed his trust in the banking system instead of his own farming ability, Zwicker Farms may not be in existence today.
Although the horses and corn pickers of years past are long gone, we continue to uphold the same family values of our ancestors. Approaching 100 years later, progressive ideals coupled with prudent investment practices continue to be the lifeline of this multi-generational farming operation.
